Bristol Mountain Aerial Adventures has opened a new kid’s course, in addition to its regular courses. An adventure available for those of all skill levels. The Aerial Adventure park is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, reservations are highly recommended. 5589 South Hill Road, Canandaigua. August welcomes Clifton Springs Community Concert Series! All concerts run from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the Rotary Park on East Main Street. Dates and bands are as follows: August 6th, 78 RPM (Big Band); August 13th, Music Makers (Big Band); August 20th, Don Newcomb Band (Country, Classic Rock); August 27th, Tim O’Horn (Acoustic Adult). Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy these free concerts on the park lawn. East Main Street, Clifton Springs, 14432.

The 55th Annual Pageant of Steam will take place August 5th through the 8th. The pageant features steam-powered demonstrations and tractor pulls of all kinds plus food and events for the kids! Fairgrounds are located at 3349 Gehan Road, Canandaigua, 14424 and are open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Admission is $6 for adults, and kids under 12 get in free. 315-677-3876.

Come see Bristol Valley Theater’s performance of Becky’s New Car at the Bristol Valley Theater, 151 South Main Street, Naples, 14512. This humorous, car-themed comedy will run August 6th through the 16th. General admission is $33, $31 for seniors, $17 for college students, and $12 for children 18 and younger. The Finger Lakes Riesling & Craft Beer Festival will take place August 8th and 9th 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM with events at the New York Wine and Culinary Center, 800 S Main Street, Canandaigua, 14424. Celebrating the agricultural richness of the Finger Lakes, the festival will include a wine garden featuring Riesling tastings, and craft beer tastings as educational wine seminars and other, family friendly events. Cost is $25 to enter the wine garden and $10 for entrance to educational seminars. 585-899-3226.

Have a craving to get in touch with your more artistic side? Then visit Sonnenberg Gardens & Mansion State Historic Park, located at 151 Charlotte Street, Canandaigua, 14424, for Arts at the Gardens August 15th and 16th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This rain-or-shine celebration of artistic accomplishment will feature local artists who specialize in all kinds of arts and crafts. There will be free art lectures, a wine/beer garden featuring microbrews, a food court, raffles, and more.
