The Nature Conservancy has two preserves within Ontario County that are perfect for summertimeexploration! Visit Rob’s Trial Preserve in Springwater for gorgeous trails connecting the only two undevelopedlakes in the Finger Lakes — Canadice and Hemlock. On the east side of the county, find West Hill Preserve in Naples with a diverse ecological backdrop.
After a fun-filled day out on the lake, or at one of Ontario County’s attractions, grab your group for dinner at Neapolitan Brick Oven Pizzeria. Celebrate tradition at the 27th annual Native American Dance & Music Festival on July 28-29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The two-day event features a wide range of Native American traditional dancers, musicians, storytellers, and artists sharing their living Native American culture, crafts, and arts with festival goers.
You’re invited to the 175th Ontario County Fair! A diverse line-up of events and agriculture fun, the Fair is great for families and people of all ages. July 24-28. Tickets are sold on-site for events. Located in Canandaigua, the fair is fun for all.
Lastly, close out July at the free Canandaigua Lakefront Art Show held at Kershaw Park on July 29 and 30. The event features several food vendors, dozens of art exhibitors, and community groups filling the lakefront Kershaw Park. For the first time, there will also be a wine and beer garden at the festival. Tickets for the garden are $10, and it will be in a gated area off the festival.
