New Finger Lakes Distillery
Today we stopped by the distillery and I had the pleasure of meeting Carl, his wife Melissa, Max and Carl’s dad. They have built this distillery from the ground up. It’s not finished yet, but it is impressive. I can only imagine… if this much attention to detail and perfection that goes into erecting a building, their spirits are going to be out of this world. And, they will also be serving light, Austrian food.
Carl and Melissa were kind enough to let me take some photos. Hesitant at first as they are still under construction. But, I promised I wouldn’t show anything that wasn’t finished. So, my photo may seem like an odd choice. Carl is very much involved in the planning and construction, as is his Dad. And, Carl also knows his spirits. Melissa is an artist and her work is showcased at Hollerhorn Distilling.
It will be a privilege to have such wonderful place south of Canandaigua in Naples. Now, with Inspire Moore Winery, Roots Cafe, Artizanns (local arts and crafts haven), Joseph’s Wayside Market and, of course, the Naples Grape Festival, who needs any more reasons to visit.
