Sunflower Festival
There are two locations. The first stop was more of a kids fun area. But, these two kids had never done a corn maze. So, bravely we entered. Tripped. Walk around a bit trying to figure out what the point was. Then, after five whole minutes we exited. I think it would have been more fun if we were about 45 years younger and it wasn’t so hot and humid. But, we can now check that one off the bucket list.
Next, just a quick drive down the road, turn right and we were at the Sunflower fields. More our thing. We walked around the fields admiring the many different varieties and choosing the perfect sunflowers for our bouquet. You cut the ones you want. So I ended up with a bouquet of very different sunflowers. Bring a vessel and some water so you can keep them fresh on your travels as some of the more delicate ones wilt quickly.
I would highly suggest this or any other Sunflower Festival. I just love sunflowers.
