Touring Tips for June follow shortly. But first, June is such a wonderful month to visit the Finger Lakes. The weather is gorgeous and everything is so green. Here are just a few options… and don’t forget our wonderful special this month – Stay two weeknights and the third weeknight is free. Visit our Packages page for more information.

Touring Tips For June

A New Life in Spring

June Is A Busy Month

Jump back in time by attending one of Geneva Historical Society’s events at Rose Hill Mansion in Geneva this June! Experience life from a time past at Rose Hill Mansion, from behind-the-scenes tours and tastes of a time gone by, to live music and other family events. Geneva Historical Society, 543 South Main St., Geneva, 14456.

Busk: to entertain on the street. Balter: to dance artlessly. Busk and Balter combines the best of both in a one-of-a-kind celebration of music and good times. On June 2, from 1:30 – 3 p.m., musicians, dancers, and jugglers, can be found around Naples’ Main Street while merchants offer wine tastings. Main St., Naples, 14512.

Plein Air painting is the art of painting in an outdoor setting and the Finger Lakes has a whole festival dedicated to it! The Finger Lakes Plein Air Festival will be taking place June 5 through June 10. During thistime, be on the lookout for painters around Canandaigua and Naples. It’s more than ok to stop and watch them work! For more information, including a list of events, call (585) 394-0030.

Nothing Like A Fresh Coat Of Paint To Make This Old House Look Young Again

August 8, 2012 by Innkeeper

A HUGE thanks to Amanda for helping me paint the outside of the Inn by the Hotchkiss Room! When the house was painted last fall there was a climbing hydrangea on a trellis that covered the wall. This spring my landscaper took the trellis down and removed the plant. Painting that last bit of the Inn has been on my list of things to do for what seems like forever. Today, I get to check it off.

I feel so very fortunate to have the staff working with me that I do. I couldn’t do this without them… Amanda, Kristen, Juli, Judy, Donna and Carson. And even though technically she doesn’t work with us anymore… Audrey. Thanks Ladies!

1795 Acorn Inn/Brown Hound January 20, 2010 Dinner

February 19, 2010 by Innkeeper

Looking forward to the Brown Hound Bistro dinner this Saturday. Eight guests have signed up for this feast. We even had guests who were not staying at the 1795 Acorn Inn want to join us. Unfortunately, that would make it just a tad less special for our guests so we declined. Bon Appetit!

We have two more dinners coming up. Make sure to book those in advance so that we can accommodate you.
